How to Measure Your Hat Size
Please enter your actual head circumference in centimetres in the measurement field. You can enter the exact measurement, including decimals.
Do not add extra centimetres to your measurement. We will take the appropriate ease into account when making your hat.
Different hat styles require slightly different measuring methods to ensure a comfortable and accurate fit.
A. Hats worn above the ears
For hats that do not cover the ears, such as our pillbox styles Classic, Pilleri, Regina, Suikka and Halo, measure around your head starting across the forehead, approximately 1 cm above the ears, and around the widest point at the back of your head.
B. Hats worn over the ears
For hats that cover the ears completely or partially, such as Tilt, Cupola and Aino, measure around your head from the forehead, over the ears and around the point where the head meets the neck.
If you normally wear glasses, sunglasses, hearing aids or earbuds with your hat, keep them on while taking the measurement. They can affect the fit, and measuring without them may result in the hat feeling tighter than intended.
How to measure
The easiest way to measure your head is with a soft measuring tape. If you do not have one, you can use a piece of string and then measure the string with a ruler.
Keep the measuring tape comfortably against your head without pulling it tight.
A slightly generous fit is more comfortable to wear and is less likely to flatten your hair. A hat that is too tight can quickly become uncomfortable and may therefore be worn less often.
