Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 25 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through the Anjo Atelier online store at anjo.fi and any related Anjo Atelier online sales channels.

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.

1. About Anjo Atelier

Anjo Atelier is a Finnish millinery atelier creating made-to-order and bespoke hats by hand in Finland.

The seller is:

Anjo Allee/Webcat Oy
Business ID: 0936215-5
Address: Pakaantie 1 Kehräämö
Finland
Email: hello@anjoatelier.com

Throughout these Terms and Conditions, “Anjo Atelier”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the seller identified above.

2. Products

Our hats are handcrafted individually rather than mass-produced. Unless otherwise stated on the product page, each hat is made to order according to the customer’s selected model, colour, material, size and/or personal measurements.

Because our products are handmade, small variations in shape, colour, surface, texture and finishing may occur. These are a natural part of handcrafted millinery and the materials we use and do not in themselves constitute a defect.

We make every effort to display colours and materials accurately. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on the screen, lighting and device used to view the product.

Product photographs are illustrative. The shape and essential characteristics of the product will correspond to the product description, while the handmade nature of the piece may result in subtle individual variation.

3. Measurements and fit

The customer is responsible for providing accurate measurements when placing an order.

Please follow the measuring instructions provided on our website carefully. If you are unsure about your measurement, please contact us at hello@anjoatelier.com before placing your order.

A hat manufactured according to an incorrectly supplied customer measurement is not considered defective solely because the resulting fit is incorrect.

If you believe your hat does not correspond to the measurements you submitted or there is another issue with its fit, please contact us and we will assess the matter individually.

4. Orders

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

An order becomes binding once it has been accepted by us and you have received an order confirmation.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if, for example, there has been an obvious pricing or technical error, the selected material has unexpectedly become unavailable, or we are otherwise unable to fulfil the order.

If we cancel an order that has already been paid for, the amount paid will be refunded using the original payment method.

Please check your order confirmation carefully and contact us as soon as possible if any information is incorrect.

5. Made-to-order products and right of withdrawal

Most Anjo Atelier hats are made individually according to the customer’s measurements and personal specifications.

Under applicable EU and Finnish consumer legislation, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that are manufactured or modified according to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised to the consumer’s individual needs.

Where an Anjo Atelier product is manufactured according to your personal measurements or other individual specifications and falls within this statutory exception, the order cannot be returned or exchanged simply because you change your mind.

This does not affect your statutory rights if the product is defective, damaged, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to the contract.

If a product sold by Anjo Atelier is not personalised or made according to individual specifications and the statutory right of withdrawal applies, this will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer legislation and our Returns Policy.

6. Changes and cancellations before production

Because each made-to-order piece is prepared specifically for the customer, please contact us immediately if you wish to change or cancel your order.

We will always try to accommodate changes where reasonably possible.

Whether an order can be changed or cancelled depends on how far production has progressed and whether materials have already been cut, shaped, ordered or otherwise committed specifically to your order.

Where permitted by applicable law, we may deduct reasonable costs already incurred as a direct result of a cancellation.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights granted to consumers by applicable law.

7. Prices and payment

All prices shown in our online store include applicable VAT where required, unless otherwise clearly stated.

The final price, including any applicable delivery charges, will be shown before you complete your order.

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout and may vary depending on your country.

Payment is processed securely through the payment providers available in our online store. Anjo Atelier does not store complete payment card details.

If your payment is not successfully completed, your order may not be processed.

8. Production times

As our hats are individually handcrafted, production takes time.

The estimated production time is stated on the relevant product page or otherwise communicated before purchase. Production times are estimates unless a specific delivery date has expressly been agreed with you.

If you require a hat for a particular event or date, please contact us before ordering. An event date written in an order note does not automatically constitute a guaranteed delivery date unless we have expressly confirmed it.

We will contact you if a significant unexpected delay affects your order.

9. Delivery

We deliver to the countries listed at checkout.

Available delivery methods, estimated delivery times and applicable delivery charges are shown at checkout.

Production time and shipping time are separate. Delivery estimates provided by carriers begin once the completed order has been dispatched.

We are responsible for the goods during transportation when the carrier has been arranged by us, in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.

Please ensure that your delivery address and contact information are correct before completing your order. Contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error.

10. Uncollected and undeliverable parcels

Failure to collect a parcel does not in itself constitute cancellation or withdrawal from an order.

If a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected, the delivery address supplied by the customer was incorrect, or delivery could not be completed for another reason attributable to the customer, we may charge the actual and reasonable direct delivery, return and handling costs incurred, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Made-to-order products remain subject to the provisions concerning personalised goods in Section 5.

If you would like us to resend a returned parcel, additional delivery costs may apply.

11. Customs, duties and taxes

For orders delivered within the European Union, prices and taxation are handled as indicated at checkout.

For deliveries outside the European Union, the recipient may be responsible for local customs duties, import taxes, fees or other charges imposed by the destination country.

Unless otherwise expressly stated at checkout, such charges are not included in the purchase price and are the responsibility of the customer.

Anjo Atelier has no control over charges imposed by local customs authorities.

12. Defective, damaged or incorrect products

Every Anjo Atelier piece is inspected before dispatch.

If your order arrives damaged, is incorrect, or you believe it has a manufacturing defect, please contact us at hello@anjoatelier.com as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue.

Please include your order number and, where helpful, photographs showing the issue.

We are responsible for defects and lack of conformity in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation. Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate remedy may include repair, reshaping, replacement, price reduction or refund as provided by law.

Normal wear and tear, damage resulting from improper use or storage, accidents, failure to follow care instructions, or incorrect measurements supplied by the customer are not manufacturing defects.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Hat care and repairs

Our hats are designed to be worn and kept for a long time when properly cared for.

Please follow the care instructions provided with the product and on our website.

Depending on the material and nature of the damage, Anjo Atelier may also be able to reshape or repair a hat. Repair and maintenance services that are not covered by statutory liability for defects may be subject to a separate fee.

Please contact us before sending any item to us.

14. Intellectual property

All content on the Anjo Atelier website, including photographs, product designs, illustrations, text, graphics, logos, videos and other visual material, is owned by or licensed to Anjo Atelier unless otherwise stated.

Content may not be reproduced, distributed, modified or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

Purchasing an Anjo Atelier product does not transfer any intellectual property rights relating to its design, images or other brand materials.

15. Personal data

We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.

Information provided in connection with an order is used for purposes such as processing and fulfilling the order, customer communication, payment administration and compliance with legal obligations.

Please see our Privacy Policy for further information.

16. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this results from circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as serious transport disruption, natural disasters, strikes, government measures or other comparable exceptional circumstances.

This provision does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer legislation.

17. Applicable law

These Terms and Conditions and purchases made from Anjo Atelier are governed by Finnish law.

If you are a consumer residing in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection rights granted to you under the laws applicable in your country of residence.

18. Complaints and dispute resolution

If you have a question or complaint concerning your order, please contact us first at:

hello@anjoatelier.com

We aim to resolve any issue directly and fairly.

Consumers may also seek advice from the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services and, where applicable, refer a dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board or another competent consumer dispute resolution body.

Nothing in these Terms limits your right to bring a matter before a competent court.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our services or applicable legislation.

The Terms and Conditions in force at the time your order is placed will apply to that order unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
